Apologetic Conference

Eleventh Annual Conference on Apologetics

Saturday, October 28, 2 – 4:15 pm

This Year’s Topic: “Sola Fide: Defending the Faith in an Age of Self – Help and Relativism”

Featuring in person: The Rev. Dr. Roland Ziegler, Pastor, professor, author, and a featured lecturer.

Abstract: The Rev. Dr. Roland Ziegler serves as the Robert D. Preus Associate Professor of Systematic Theology and Confessional Lutheran Studies and Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He received his M.Div.(1993) from the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Oberursel and his Dr.theol. from the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen in 2011. Dr. Ziegler has served on the seminary faculty since 2000 after have serving as a vicar and pastor in Berlin and Konstanz Germany, respectively. In his presentation Dr. Ziegler will confess the necessity of faith in the midst of the dangers of the modern spirit which promotes self-help over dependence upon Christ and that relativizes the exclusive salvation earned for all in Christ by a spirit of compromise that makes the essential salvation of Christ on par with that which is not Christ and cannot save. This conference culminates our three annual presentations on the “Sola’s” as this year we celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation as well as our Reformation Festival Service on October 29 at 4 p.m.
